OLYMPIAN LIGHT

There was never a time in memory when perfect peace reigned for long anywhere, but it is rather doubtful if it ever reigned at all in the halls of the Titans and after their demise, the Olympians. For that matter the mortals below were always beset with the same problem of war following peace in a continuous procession - the odd gaps being filled up with family feuds, loves, hates, murders, rapes and the friendships here and there; the pattern never changed much and has continued thus to this day, so I am told. But withal there was never a dull moment.

From the time Zeus and his brothers Poseidon and Hades sacked the palace of their Titan parents and reigned in their stead, their goings on among themselves, and below with the mortals, has provided a panorama richly woven with the most exciting and interesting events that have ever been recorded. And through all this marvellous fabric there runs a full-blooded vein of tender love and drama which in turn is cosseted with all the eloquence of creative behavior which was evoked during these extra-ordinary times.

The account in the book of time flows past the covers and the stories will be told into eternity, unparalleled. The timeless wonder of those events can only be seen through the wondrous enchantment of the mystical light enveloping the Acropolis and setting it apart as the perfect stage for the Immortals to establish for eternity.
- DANIEL

The setting for the human saga ad infinitum. Depicts the highest point in Greek mythology i.e. the Acropolis on Mount Olympus where the deity resided and while feasting on ambrosia and nectar scripted and enacted the drama as Homer had chronicled so vividly in the Iliad and the Odyssey. This painting which symbolizes heaven and earth must have been a vision Daniel experienced during his near death visitation with his “unseen friends” in the world he now occupies.
