PYTHAGORAS AND THE SCALES OF PERCEPTION

Beyond time, through the portals of infinity the self journeys along a path to the secret of the Source. One can comprehend all but a fleeting glimpse of life in its ever changing guise of Penelope's yarn and gather the end to be but another beginning. And when the shackles of this mortal coil should be stilled a while, watch the shadows of existence cast the truth of reality, in that brief moment which defies time, the psyche rises above oneself to know the measure of all things.

There was a scholar who dwelt among the books of texts, he knew much and understood little, Socrates gently chiding him said “Looking you see not the mysteries of the universe, can the gift of the muse be measured by weight or time?”.

Pythagoras communed with the muses, the self of his being sojourned in other spheres and secrets of many sources were entrusted to his keeping. Lesser beings donned the garb of majisters and sought to reduce the splendour of his inspired ideas, even so shades of the master's emblazoned truths accompanied them into oblivion.

Mother Earth draws forth roots from the seed and thus is born a tree which in turn engenders forms on higher levels, the former dying to give way to the latter, each birth springing from the roots but aspiring to the reaches of the lofty boughs, an ever changing pattern...a cycle of metamorphosis.

Pythagoras was draped in the robe of the Creative Impulse, he declared the truth of infinity and the muses danced for him, they crowned him with a garland of divinity and bestowed upon him the gift of secret knowledge from the Source.

Daniel often shared with me his beliefs in the Pythagorean brotherhood and the basic concept that the soul is a fallen divinity confined within the body as a tomb and condemned to a cycle of reincarnation. However the soul may win release from its bodily confinement by cultivation of an Apolline purity. Pythagoras was truly gifted with secret knowledge from the Source and he continues through his prophet Daniel to bestow upon those who seek the truth and the secrets of eternity.
